Sample Itinerary for BVI Charter Guests

Day 1

With their BVI boat charter anchored nearby, a mother and son snorkel in crystal-clear waters.

Sail to Norman Island for your first night aboard. Hook a mooring ball, lower the dinghy in the water, and begin the exploration of this hidden treasure of an island. Dinghy around the point to the Caves where there are three caves at water level at the base of a cliff. The afternoon light makes this an ideal snorkel stop. Next, make your way over to Pirates Bight, a family-oriented beach bar, for a late lunch and enjoy a frozen drink to cool you off. Afterward, head back to your charter boat and take advantage of all the water toys you have onboard your luxury yacht. Enjoy an evening of adventure and step aboard the infamous Willy T where you can enjoy a night of dancing, local island drinks, and tons of fun.

Day 2

For the early birds, plan an early morning hike to see the pristine vistas as the sun rises, then head back to the boat for a leisurely breakfast. Afterword, make way for some stellar snorkeling at The Indians. The amazing rock formations rise and descend roughly the same fifty feet above and below the water surface, which form abundant coral gardens, a 15-foot tunnel, lots of fish and an underwater cavern. Follow up that dive with another incredible dive off the wreck of the Rhone located just off Salt Island. After your underwater experience, tack back up the Sir Francis Drake Channel and head to Cooper Island. Remember to reserve your overnight mooring with BoatyBall as the first come, first served balls are limited. Swim over to Cistern Point for more spectacular snorkeling or simply relax on the beach by the bar at the Cooper Island Beach Club while your luxurious yacht charter awaits your next adventure.

Day 3

With her yacht charter anchored just off the beach, an explorer peers out from within the boulders at The Baths.

Have a long lie, perhaps a morning dip in the pristine waters of Manchioneel Bay before banking some wind to sail up the channel for your 3rd night. You can choose from Trellis Bay with it’s wide variety of restaurants, Scrub Island Resort and Marina or Marina Cay.

Day 4

Get an early start and make your way over to the Baths. Grab a National Parks Mooring and dinghy into the beach. Note that you can no longer take your dinghy onto the beach as it is roped off. You will have to swim to the beach area from the dinghy line. Make sure to pack a dry bag to keep your camera and other items free from water as well as your National Parks Permit along with the admission fee. Plan to spend your full 90 minutes making your way through the tunnels, caves, and crystal-clear water pools through the maze of massive boulders. Hike back down to the beach and head back to your yacht. Set sail for Leverick to spend the afternoon and evening. Secure a mooring ball or make reservations for a space on the dock. This marina has it all – fresh water, ice, fuel, showers, laundry facilities, spa, shopping, provisioning, garbage disposal, water sports, Wi-Fi, and 2 restaurants.

Days 5 & 6

Experience an exhilarating sail to the low-lying coral island of Anegada. Keep an eye out for friendly dolphins, whales and turtles along your journey. Once you arrive at port, be sure to make a dinner reservation and place your order no later than 4pm for a lobster dinner! Then, head off to one of the secluded beaches like Loblolly Bay or our favorite, Cow Wreck Beach. Spend an extra day here in Anegada and enjoy the beaches; rent a scooter, search for pink flamingos, grab your snorkel gear, or even try bonefishing, one of the most sought-after shallow water game fish in the world. Other options include taking a private water tour to explore Conch Islands while learning all about Anegada, visit the shark sanctuary, the reptile sanctuary, go kite-surfing or go horseback riding on the beach!

Day 7

Enjoy a nice downwind sail toward Guana Island. This will most likely be your longest sail, so break it up with a late morning stop at The Dogs for amazing snorkeling amongst the blue tang, parrotfish, and butterflyfish. There is a great dive at Great Dog, explore Shark-Plane-O’s (see pic below). Continue on to White Bay, Guana Island, grab a mooring ball for the night. Jump in your dinghy and head to Money Point (National Par) for another dive. The snorkeling is stunning here with so many other types of fish to view, yellowtail snappers, grunts, jacks, turtles, and large tarpon. However, pelicans diving for their next meal remains the best show that Mother Nature has to offer.

Day 8

Jost Van Dyke features numerous unique beach bars and beautiful marine life to explore.

Enjoy a nice downwind sail toward Jost Van Dyke. This will most likely be your longest sail, so break it up with a late morning stop at The Dogs for amazing snorkeling amongst the blue tang, parrotfish, and butterflyfish. Or further on you can take a break at Monkey Point on Guana Island. The snorkeling is stunning here, with so many other types of fish to view: yellowtail snappers, grunts, jacks, turtles, and large tarpon. However, pelicans diving for their next meal remains the best show that Mother Nature has to offer. Enjoy a quick lunch and continue to Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke, home to Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, unforgettable Corsairs, and famed Tipsy Shark, you’ll find their phone numbers and links in your boat folder aboard your vessel. You will also find the only floating spa, Ocean Spa, in the entire BVI at Great Harbor. Reserving an overnight mooring ball with BoatyBall is a must at this location as they are quite limited.

Day 9

Enjoy a tasty breakfast aboard your boat, then, navigate your way by dingy over to the famous Soggy Dollar beach bar, in White Bay for a world-famous Painkiller. Enjoy the day at the beach and then head to Peter Island. Great Harbor at Peter Island is perfect for your last night as it is quiet, picturesque, and speaks volumes about a Caribbean charter experience. On the water’s edge of Great Harbor, you’ll find Oceans Seven bar and restaurant, offering guests delicious local delicacies for lunch and dinner.

Day 10

After breakfast, you will have time to squeeze in one more snorkel adventure, surrounding yourself with fascinating high-spirited marine life in the crystal-clear waters of Great Harbor. Taking a snorkel or one last stroll on the beach is the perfect way to end your trip before you set sail to return to the best marina in Nanny Cay, aboard your private yacht charter.
