Day 1 – Saturday: San Diego Bay Exploration
Morning
- Depart from: Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina on Harbor Island
- Downtown Skyline
- USS Midway Museum
- Coronado Bridge
- Depart from: Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina on Harbor Island
Afternoon
- Lunch stop: Drop anchor at Glorietta Bay (just south of the Coronado Bridge).
- Calm anchorage with a view of the Hotel del Coronado.
- Go ashore with a dinghy to explore Coronado Island or grab lunch at the Hotel Del or Peohe’s.
- Lunch stop: Drop anchor at Glorietta Bay (just south of the Coronado Bridge).
Evening
- Sail back toward Harbor Island or Shelter Island for sunset.
- Great sunset views from the west side of the bay.
- Dinner options ashore: Bali Hai (Shelter Island) or Brigantine (Point Loma).
- Overnight: Anchor in Glorietta Bay or return to your marina.
- Sail back toward Harbor Island or Shelter Island for sunset.
Day 2 – Sunday: Coastal Sail
Morning
- Depart early and head out past Point Loma into the open Pacific.
- Sail north toward La Jolla or Mission Bay (depending on time and conditions).
- Dolphins and sea lions are often seen in this stretch.
Afternoon
- Drop anchor off Mission Bay (Mariner’s Basin) for lunch and a swim.
- If the wind is right, enjoy a downwind sail back to San Diego Bay.
Evening
- Return to your marina, clean up, and have dinner at Harbor Island’s waterfront restaurants or nearby Liberty Station.

Day 1 – Friday: Settle In & Sunset Sail
- Arrive in San Diego mid-day, provision the boat.
- Short sunset sail around the bay to get oriented.
- Overnight: At your marina or anchor in Glorietta Bay.
Day 2 – Saturday: Offshore Adventure
- Depart early and sail north toward La Jolla or south toward Imperial Beach depending on wind direction.
- If conditions allow, anchor off Mission Bay for snorkeling or paddleboarding.
- Return to Coronado or Harbor Island by sunset.
- Dinner ashore (try Bluewater Boathouse Grill on Coronado).
Day 3 – Sunday: Relaxed Bay Day
- Sleep in and enjoy a relaxed morning.
- Explore South Bay: Chula Vista Marina area and the wildlife refuge.
- Possible stop at Pier 32 Marina for lunch.
- Anchor again in Glorietta Bay for swimming, paddleboarding, or lounging.
Day 4 – Monday (optional): Leisure Cruise & Return
- Short sail around the bay or out to the ocean for a final morning spin.
- Return to dock by early afternoon.
- Brunch ashore before heading home (try Tom Ham’s Lighthouse).
