Handheld GPS Receivers

Portable, handheld GPS receivers make navigation easy for sailors who mover from boat to boat or for both land and sea navigation.  Today's handheld GPS receivers often are as powerful as a permanently-installed unit; some even feature chart plotter capability.

The models we catalog here have proven to be the best solutions for most of our customers; other models may be available by special order.  Your needs may differ; please contact us for recommendations.

Garmin GPS 60 Family

The GPS 60 family are all-purpose GPS units—packed with exciting new features and delivering the kind of color you want in a handheld GPS. These lightweight, rugged, waterproof units raise the bar to offer a 256-color, highly reflective display that provides easy viewing in most lighting conditions. They're excellent on land and sea, with new geocaching functions to turn the outdoors into your playground.

Garmin eTrex GPS

Garmin eTrex®

It's a small wonder!  Garmin's eTrex family takes the best features of a 12 parallel channel GPS receiver and packages them in a six ounce unit that is only four inches high and two inches wide--it literally fits in the palm of your hand.  It's completely waterproof so it can take an accidental splash or dunk in the water and still continue to perform.  Special eTrex versions add memory, compasses, and other features to customize them for special use.
