Charts on CD-ROM Digital charts on CD-ROM (or floppy disk, too) feature both raster and vector images from many nautical chart sources.  Some even include geo-referenced aerial photographs.  They're in full-color and include all information that you find on traditional charts--depth contours and soundings, nav markers, and more.  Generally, they are only compatible with computer navigation programs and will work with just a few chart plotters.   If you do not have navigation software installed on your computer, check out our marine navigation software page to select a package. Not all digital charts on CD-ROM are compatible with all marine software brands.  Check your users manual for compatibility.
