MapSource TOPO CD-ROM's Garmin MapSource TOPO CD-ROM's  contain maps and information that include: Digital topographic maps comparable to USGS 1:100,000 scale paper maps (1:50,000 and 1:250,000 Canadian versions) Terrain contour and elevation information Roads, trails, summits, and some bathymetric contours Inland shoreline detail for lakes, reservoirs, and rivers Icons to mark boat ramps, dams, facilities, navaids, and danger areas For additional detail, US Topo 24K CD's provide detail comparable to 1:24,000 scale paper maps provided by the USGS plus points of interest and park amenities for U.S. national parks, national forests and some state parks. Maps can be uploaded into selected Garmin GPS units.  For extra map storage, some units also utilize data cards that can be programmed with MapSource maps.  Spare data cards and a remote programmer are available for operating ease.
